i want to be more creative

• I hate to be a copy cat, but Ezequiel is starting to make videos with imovie. I am going to copy him because it looks really cool. Once again, another means of procrastinating
• Today is our last day of classes for this semester. Madness. 
• I do not post on this blog enough.
• I have a word of advice. Do not lie. You will have to lie more to hide the lie. Parents always say that and it seems like bullshit, but it isn't. It is truth.
• The volleyball team has their first game of the NCAA tournament tonight and I am really excited for them. All the girls are super nice and I want them to make it all the way. These seniors have been to three final fours in a row. The only other team to do that is Penn State, who have won three consecutive national championships.
• Last night Zeke and I studied at JP's Java.  It was lovely. Then we went to take pictures/videos at this weird structure outside the engineering buildings (see below).
• Saturday is our last regular season football game.  It's very sad. Football season is the best season :)

ready to go back to school

• Having to do work over break sucks.  A lot. 
• This entire week is going to be hell — two tests, a presentation, part of my spanish final.  and i had to turn in an assignment and a paper today.  Oh well.  College life. Worth it.
• I'm listening to the new rhianna CD.  For some reason, I really like her.
• I got a new iPhone!
• Too much family time this week.  It's time for me to return to my ATX bubble. 
• It was good seeing old friends this week though. I forgot how much I have missed the good people of the OC.
• Although I studied all freaking day, I did get to watch plenty of football :)
• My flight is at 6:10 tomorrow. I am estimating that I will have to wake up at 3:45 or so.  ROUGH.

back in the homeland

• I am currently sitting in my own bed.... YES.
• Flying home yesterday was a pain and I was kind of dreading it. But we cooked all day today, so that was fun.
• Thanksgiving is seriously the coolest. You don't have to buy people gifts and everyone celebrates it. I don't know a single person who doesn't celebrate Thanksgiving. I don't know a single person who dislikes Thanksgiving.
• Home is an interesting subject for me... it definitely has its positives and negatives. But, I am excited to see my friends on Friday and my extended family tomorrow. 
• Tomorrow is the biggest game of Texas' season — the Texas A&M game. Although I literally know no one who goes to that school, I hate the Aggies. I hate them. And we are probably going to lose tomorrow, which will cause me to hate them even more.
•  This has been a surprisingly boring blog... but that is part of the problem of being home. ATX is basically the most interesting place in the world and provides me with a lot to talk about.
• Plus, I napped for about four hours today (part of the reason I am awake right now). I dreamt that my friend from when i was younger's dad was a child molester and that we hid him from the po po.  Twas very strange.

i'm feelin hipster

• I am currently in this coffee shop called Bennu.  It's extremely hipster.  But I kind of like it?

• Today, Christina said came upon a blog where the creator said he found a list of 15 things he wanted to do before he was thirty.  Now he is turning 30 and completing them. So, we are creating ours. It's much more difficult than I expected. List so far:
•  Visit Santorini
• Paint something
• Graduate from UT
• Learn to play guitar
• I will continue reflecting and complete the list. 
• I reported on a volleyball game tonight and wrote an awesome article and tomorrow I am writing an article about the senior football players and leadership.
• I am now writing a paper refuting an argument saying that abstinence is the best way to teach sex education. Shouldn't be too difficult. Although it is currently 1:12 a.m.
• Here I am, 250 words later, at 2:56 a.m. This blog has definitely helped me realize how unproductive I am. Yet, it also contributes to my procrastination. 
• Tomorrow (or today I guess), there is an article in the Daily Texan about Garrett Gilbert leaving UT. I feel so bad for him. He seems like a really cool guy — things just didn't work out for him and I am legitimately sad for him. Although things didn't work out for him at UT, I really hope he finds success. People tend to forget that he's just a 20-year-old kid. No one deserves so much criticism and I feel like he's handled it with a lot of class.  
• I have been jamming to the Dixie Chicks all evening.  
• 3:59- Bed time.

• Sidenote: prediction of procrastination made yesterday was proven correct. I stayed up until 4 am.  Nap after class today?  Oh yes.

• I have a twitter, a facebook, a tumblr.  Now i have this blog.  Just one more thing to prevent me from writing this stupid, one page, single spaced paper that should take me about 1.5 hours to write. instead, it will take me 3-4.  
• I had a good weekend. Dressed reallll classy on Friday and got pleasantly drunk.  Dressed normally on Saturday and had a chill night.  Made a couple of friends.  
• Only in Austin TX are weekends so fun.
• Fuck Breaking Dawn.  Twilight is stupid.
• I will see it anyways.

Successful Day

• I bought new headphones today.  My jamming to Florence commences.
• I hate Kim Kardasian and all of the Kardasians.  And everything they stand for.  But why am I so interested in what is going on in their lives?
• Wrote two articles today. One is a volleyball preview for Texas' game against Kansas. The other about attendance at football games. Successful day :)
• I watched the movie Spanglish. I saw it in theaters and didn't like it. Now that I've seen it again, I actually enjoyed it. And found Adam Sandler attractive... what?  
• I'm going to watch Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows part 2 and munch on which which with my best bitch Ezequiel tonight.  They are playing the movie on a big screen on the south mall. 
• I spilt queso in my hair today and now my hair smells like cheese.
• It was cold today.
• I have told my friends that I have a blog. But it remains a secret blog.  Because I am still 85% sure this blog is stupid.

Everyone likes things written in bullet points

• I know you prefer reading things that are in bullet point format. I am a writer and even I prefer it. Society is lazy.  And so am I.
• Therefore, this blog will be written in bullet points.
• It will simply be my daily musings. Which no one really cares about.  But I am going to put them on the internet anyways.
• That is in my introduction.  Now let's get to the good shit:

• I am listening to Florence and the Machine's new album which was given to me illegally. Worth it. 
• Best song: "No Light No Light"- the song starts like this- "you are the hole in my head, you are the space in my bed, you are the silence in between, what i thought and what i said." Get it girl.
• In the laundry room today, I was jamming to the cd and totally rocking out and the kid that was also waiting for his stuff to dry was banging his head to some music that was probably awesome as well. I felt like we bonded.
• I lost my headphones so I can't jam on the way to class tomorrow. Emergency stop at the store will be occurring.
• I bought a 50 pack of temporary tattoos last week. It is probably the greatest purchase I have ever made. I currently have a tattoo of a small purple purse on my wrist. I am thinking of getting it permanently done.
• I stayed up until 4 a.m. last night. Took a three hour nap after class today. It is 2:23 am. Not tired.
• Three musketeers bars are underrated.
• I thoroughly enjoy creeping on my Facebook friends who become sluts on halloween. It's intriguing.
• I wrote an article today about Texas Tech's epic win over Oklahoma two weeks ago (ha) and then epic collapse against Iowa State last week.  It's pretty damn good if I say so myself.
• J2 was awesome today.  Spaghetti and pigs in a blanket all in one day. Winning
• In rhetoric class today, we had to write letters to famous people asking for $100. I don't want to go into too much detail, but one group's letter was to Chuck Norris and it involved using a live rattle snake as a condom "and slamming her like you slam a screen door." Not classy, but quite hilarious.
